Season 1 Character Gallery

So, Season 1 is upon us (atleast on this blog it is) so I decided to do something new and create a character gallery for newcomers and mainstays alike to get to know our heroes a little better. The drawings are crude and sometimes illegible, but they were all the product of 15 minute breaks at HT276 (Dolphin Mall). My stick figure skills were extremely poor and continued to be honed through season 1 and beyond. That being said, here are, in order of appearance, the cast of The HT Weekly Comic Strip! Season 1:

Photobucket
Heather
The store manager. Usually seen in or around the cashwrap (the registers). Gives orders, expects them to be followed. Harbors a love for U2, specifically Bono. [appears in episodes I, IV, VI, VII, VIII, & IX]

Photobucket
Erik
A sales associate of the goth persuasion. Sarcastic enough to cut diamonds with words. Into movies, anime, strange eye contacts, and toys. Fan of My Chemical Romance, specifically Gerard Way. Most aren't aware that he's gay until he casually slips it in...to conversation. [appears in episodes I, II, VI, VII, VIII, & IX]

Photobucket
Yanette
Part of management. In her 30's though can apparently pass for 18. Prone of saying "awesome" for just about anything. Head seems to explode on a regular basis. Harbors an intense love of Pearl Jam, specifically Eddie Vedder. Attracts creepy customers. [appears in episodes II, V, & IX]

Photobucket
William
A sales associate that was hired with Adam. Maintains a friendly personality towards everyone. Youngest employee of HT276. [appears in episodes II, III, & IX]

Photobucket
Melissa
A sales associate, later break associate (more responsibility but same pay). Avid fan of Coheed And Cambria. Friendly to everyone. Big Harry Potter fan. [appears in episodes II, IV, & VIII]

Photobucket
Adam
That is I, that is the author of this comic. Tends to ramble on about stuff. Maintains what the rest of the store calls "Farrah Faucett" hair and nicknames him that. Has a nearly unhealthy obsession with music. [appears in episodes II, IV, & IX]

Photobucket
Janely
A keyholder. Not a shit taker. Swears enough to make a sailor blush. Particularly close to William. Not at all close to Adam. [appears in episode III]

Photobucket
Kiki
A sales associate, later management-in-training. Maintains Hispanic attitude and accent. Close to Janely. Likes to dance at the store. Not a shit taker. [appears in episodes IV & IX]

Photobucket
Gianni
A sales associate. Like Erik, also wears eye contacts. Makes people uncomfortable, specifically Yanette. Wanted for attempted murder (not a joke). [appears in episodes VI, VII, & VIII]

Photobucket
Chris
Frequent customer, later employee. Knows and known by half of the globe apparently. [appears in episode VI]

Photobucket
Alfred
A sales associate. Maintains a drinking problem. The manual labor of HT260. [Appears in episode IX]

Those are the employees of HT276 as depicted on THTWCS!. Season 1 is also rife with cameos and minor characters as well. Not accompanied by pictures, here's the supporting cast!

Gerard Way
Singer for My Chemical Romance. Currently being held hostage by Erik in the backroom.

Eddie Vedder
Singer for Pearl Jam. Makes Yanette's head explode the first time.

The guy from Operator
Chris Cornell impersonator. Makes Yanette's head explode the second time.

Miguelito
A mouse found in the backroom that's been mutated into a large, ferocious size by the fumes emiting from the bathroom.

There you have it, the cast of The HT Weekly Comic Strip! Season 1. The season begins on this blog next Wednesday with Episode I, and will be posted every Wednesday until all 9 episodes have been shown. Enjoy!

Introductions!

Hello there! Welcome to The Hot Topic Weekly Comic Strip!. Alot has happened in order to make this work, so I'll make this an introduction: My name's Adam, and I work for Hot Topic, or HT for short. If you don't know what that is, then you either have no social life or you've been living under a rock and you're gonna have to look it up:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_topic

There's a link for ya. Anyway, I started doing these 6 panel, 9 issue strips during my 15 minute breaks while I worked at the HT at Dolphin Mall. They're based on funny/weird things that have happened at the store, as well as funny quirks about the employees (including myself) themselves. I posted them in the bathroom at Dolphin, and for 2 "seasons" they kept bathroom-goers something to keep their minds occupied while they were doing whatever they were doing. After Season 2, the series was put on hiatus. The store had undergone a shift in management and things took a turn for the...not so fun.

A while later, I got transfered to the Hot Topic at Sunset Place, and before long I had become comfortable again to continue the series with a new cast and season (Season 3). Seasons 3 and 4 were met with resounding success until recently when I was barred from making anymore comics at the store. Finding one of my sources of joy working cut off, I decided to take it online (I already began posting older seasons on my personal Livejournal). After much deliberation, I decided to make a Blogspot in order to showcase the past 4 seasons, as well as new seasons and other goodies that I wasn't able to do in print.

Over the next weeks, The HT Weekly Comic Strip! @ Blogspot will be reshowing Season 1, followed by seasons 2, 3, and 4 before primering Season 5! Since Seasons 1-4 are old, I will post character galleries before each new season primere, briefly giving background to the characters you either already know and love, or are will soon. So now...
